Assistant Entitlement Manager - Southeast MI - Sheetz - Farmington, MI


This role qualifies for an onsite work arrangement working out of our Farmington Hills Corporate office. The role requires in-field expectations and regular travel within Southeast Michigan market.


OVERVIEW

Assist in the land development entitlement process by obtaining all necessary permits and approvals for the construction of new stores, car washes, rebuild stores, and remodel projects and other miscellaneous Sheetz Store Development Projects.


RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)

1. Review and interpret jurisdictional ordinances for design and entitlement purposes, identifying site feasibility concerns, providing preliminary development cost estimates, and project schedules.
2. Facilitate project permit applications process with internal and external project stakeholders including project completion documentation with state and local government agencies.
3. Coordinate review of Site Plans with internal Real Estate and Engineering departments to assure optimal layouts for Sheetz comply with state and local requirements.

4. Identify engineering challenges as it relates to the entitlements of each project. Recommend engineering related changes while coordinating directly with the internal Engineering department.
5. Coordinate with internal design teams throughout the submission and review process to obtain municipal specific preliminary architectural, mechanical, petroleum, and signage design plans.
6. Coordinate site utility relocations and services with local private/public utility companies and the Sheetz Civil Engineering Department.
7. Attend public municipal and governmental agency meetings along with the Entitlement Manager and/or Real Estate Team
8. Assist the Construction Project Managers throughout the bidding and construction phases when required.
9. Maintain critical project records utilizing Project Management software through coordination with internal teams on project bonding, payment of project fees, and required documentation.


QUALIFICATIONS

(Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered)

Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Project Management, Construction Management, or related field required.

Experience
• Minimum 2 years Project Management in Engineering, Real Estate Land Development, Construction, or related field required

• Minimum 2 years Site Land Development Design or Engineering preferred

Licenses/Certifications
• Professional Engineer, Landscape Architect, or Project Management Professional License preferred
