Description
Gibbs & Cox, a Leidos Company, has an opening for a Mid-Level Marine Engineer to support the USCG Ship Design Team. This position is a hybrid position with 2-3 days per week of onsite support at the USCG Headquarters in Washington, DC.
Primary Responsibilities
Evaluate effect of new or modified subsystems on overall system performance.
Familiarity with USN, USCG, ABS and/or commercial ship design rules and regulations.
Conducting analyses of propulsion systems and types, lead development of technical data packages and reviews
Conduct trade studies regarding ship configuration.
Basic Qualifications
U.S. Citizenship and must have an active secret clearance or be eligible to be granted one.
BS or MS in Technical, Engineering, or Marine degree from ABET accredited institution, related to field of work.
Minimum of 3 years’ documented experience with developing ship propulsion and control systems, machinery arrangements, weight assessments, and conducting trade studies on the configuration of propulsion and associated components.
Knowledge of ABS, USN, and industry standards.
Preferred Qualifications
Active Secret Security clearance.
Experience related to federal ship or boat building acquisition programs, DoD ACAT I or DHS Level I shipbuilding programs.

Pay Range:Pay Range $65,000.00 - $117,500.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
