Description

Leidos, the implementor for the Ameren Illinois award-winning Energy Efficiency Program, seeks a Junior Web and Graphic Designer. Under the leadership of the UX Web Manager, the Junior Web and Graphic Designer works to support front-end web design and user experience as well as designing other marketing collateral with the direction of the creative team and the customer to understand the needs of the Program and use branding, new technologies and best practices to create and maintain the Energy Efficiency Program website and marketing collateral.

The consulting group of approximately 100 employees is primarily engaged in private sector power opportunities and offers consulting services, independent engineering services, mergers & acquisition consulting, market analysis, and transmission study services.  Our highly knowledgeable engineers and consultants work across functions to collaborate and challenge each other to innovate for our clients.

Location: Ameren Illinois and Leidos believe it is very important to provide employment opportunity to the utility ratepayers that reside in Illinois. Therefore, there is Strong preference for the successful candidate to be located in the Ameren Illinois service territory https://www.ameren.com/illinois/company/about-ameren/service-territory (roughly the southern two-thirds of Illinois). The Ameren Illinois service territory includes several large to mid-size communities such as Galesburg, Quincy, Peoria, Bloomington-Normal, Champaign-Urbana, Danville, Decatur, Springfield, Charleston-Mattoon, Effingham, Mt. Vernon, Marion, Carbondale, and Metro East (Belleville, O'Fallon, Granite City, Edwardsville, Alton, Collinsville).

The Challenge:

  • Supporting the UX Web Manager in front-end web design elements, as assigned.
  • Responsible for the design tasks related to website content including web applications and plugins.
  • Provides support for advanced troubleshooting.
  • Supports new workflows to support the dissemination of future advancements on the website.
  • Provides front-end site page customization support with customer branding.
  • Provides data analytic support, as applicable.
  • Communicate effectively with all departments and the customer with system issues.
  • Works to achieve day-to-day objectives with website maintenance and updates.
  • Works with UX Web Manager to create engaging and informative webpages.
  • Uses SEO and accessibility when designing and maintaining the website.
  • Maintains quality control of the website.
  • Works with UX Web Manager and Creative Team to support graphic design marketing needs.
  • Ability to follow brand guidelines and utilize them in design.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a high-volume workload.

What Sets You Apart:

  • Bachelor’s degree with two or less (2-) years of relevant experience. May consider more years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
  • General knowledge of web design and user interface modules.
  • Knowledge in scripting with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Knowledge with content management systems.
  • Experience with the Adobe Suite – specifically InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • Intro knowledge of use of AI.
  • Strong Organizational skills.
  • Travel up to 10%.

Pay Range:Pay Range $48,100.00 - $86,950.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
