Description

Leidos Defense Systems is seeking at talented Product Manager to join the team. As a Product Manager, you’ll directly support the Program Managers (PMs) in achieving specific program objectives. The ideal candidate will possess superior analytical and problem-solving skills, operate independently with limited supervision and feedback, be a strong team player, and can establish solid working relationships with technical staff members and peers within the program as well as our external Government customers.

Primary Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and manage software product releases internally and externally.

• Actively participate in Program Increment Planning, System demos, Working Groups and Prioritization call meetings

• Coordinate with Architecture and Systems Engineering to sequence Feature and Enabler work on the roadmap.

• Responsible for managing risks, escalating impediments, and helping to drive continuous process improvement.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience.

• Prior Systems Engineering experience.

• Knowledge of Agile methodologies, such as the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), and application of the Agile methodologies within a technical/engineering environment.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create and deliver presentations.

Must be a resident of North Alabama area or willing to relocate to Huntsville-North Alabama area.

Must be an US citizen and possess an Active secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior work using collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Fusion, Gitlab)

• Relevant DoD and/or Industry work experience in Missile Defense
