Heidelberg Materials is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our team in Edmonton, Alberta. This role would report to the Administration Manager.

What you'll get to do:

  • Invoice preparation, including billing review and approval
  • Support with customer quotes and project setups
  • Review short paid invoices and invoice corrections and process credit/rebills
  • Provide support to credit department and customers for invoice questions and billing concerns
  • Maintain cash sales, process payments and reconcile daily deposit records
  • Perform payroll functions including review and validation of employee time entries and maintain employees status’ and files for the hourly workforce
  • Provide administrative support of hiring and onboarding processes for hourly employees
  • Provide support in Ready Mix inventory management
  • Provide support with Accounts Payable
  • Support managers with related inquiries and reporting
  • Assist with administrative activities for other departments or processes as required

Essential Experience and Skills:

  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Accounting, Payroll or other related field
  • 2-3 years’ experience in an administrative role high level of accuracy and attention to detail while working in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize work and work within internal processes and policies
  • Ability to work independently and participate effectively in a team environment
  • Advanced skills in MS Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Experience with Kronos, SAP, or JDE is an asset
  • Flexibility and initiative to take on new tasks and responsibilities
  • Experience in a construction materials environment or larger business entity is an asset
