- JOB PROFILE SUMMARY (INTERNAL REFERENCE ONLY):Maintains an organization's computer systems' workflows and is responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, including fixing network issues along with updating equipment and softwareProvide technical support in the management of networks, software, hardware, configurations, and architecturesTroubleshoots moderately complex system hardware and software issuesTrains end users on the proper use of hardware and softwarePerforms software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packagesMonitors and tunes systems to achieve optimum performance levelsEnsures workstation/server data integrity by implementing standard software and hardware solutionsEnsure data/media recoverability by following a schedule of system backups and database archive operationsConducts hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelinesEnsures that performance and security of computers meet the needs of network usersMay evaluate existing systems and assist with planning long-term strategiesMay coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionalsMay serve as a team or task leadEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree, 3+ years of experience

Our work depends on Systems Administrator Senior joining our team to:Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network engineers.Sets up administrator and service accounts, maintains system documentation, tunes system performance, installs system-wide software, and allocates mass storage space.Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation, and provides backup recovery.Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.Complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories and concepts in the field.General knowledge of other related disciplines.Provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.Solutions are imaginative, thorough, practicable and consistent with organization objectives.Contributes to completion of specific programs and projects. Failure to obtain results or erroneous decisions or recommendations would typically result in serious program delays and considerable expenditure of resources.Works under very general direction.Independently determines and develops approach to solutions. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
