HOW A SYSTEMS ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

• Customer is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Systems Engineer SME with proven experience in supporting wide array of technology stacks within the AWS environment focused on supporting enterprise web applications throughout the division, cloud health and overall sustainability, reliability and resiliency of all operational systems within our portfolio.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

• Education: BA/BS degree
• Required Experience: 20+ years
• Required Technical Skills:
• Experience in developing software using languages such as Java, Python, C++ or Ruby.
• Excellent programming skills to ensure the proper interpretation and implementation of code.
• Experience with DevOps/Platforms: Amazon Web Services (S3, RDS, EC2, ECS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, CloudFormation, etc.), Docker, Ansible.
• Strong understanding of web services, API, REST.
• Documented experience with PKI and application based certificate implementation.
• Documented experience with open-source technology, software development and system engineering.
• Demonstrated experience utilizing DevOps tools, such as GitHub and Jenkins, to enable continuous integration and continuous delivery
• Identify, analyze, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues
• Regularly review existing systems and make recommendations for improvements and cost efficiencies.
• Develop and maintain cloud solutions in accordance with customer best practices and guidance.
• Demonstrated experience working with Agile Scrum based development team.
• Interact with clients, provide cloud support, and make recommendations based on customer needs
• Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI with Polygraph
• Location: On Customer Site, Herndon, VA
• US Citizenship Required

Salary and Benefit Information
The likely salary range for this position is $221,000 - $299,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
