Data Entry Scanner - General Dynamics Information Technology - Falls Church, VA

As a Data Entry Scanner at GDIT working on the finance team. This role is an entry-level position supporting the Accounts Payable Processing Team. This position works closely with other General Dynamics departments in maintaining their records and other related documents.

This position is a hybrid position working out of the Falls Church, Virginia office, a minimum of one (1) day per week to retrieve the mail for scanning.

HOW A DATA ENTRY SCANNER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

As a Data Entry Scanner joining our team to support GDIT Accounts Payable activities in our Falls Church office location. A typical day will include:
• Performs routine tasks in one or more functional areas of Accounting or Financial Services.
• Work together with scanning team to collect, analyze and input data into their respective organizations, while maintaining strong time management skills and an eye for details.
• Investigates questionable data and takes corrective action when necessary.
• Collect, review, sort and scan invoice documents into the MarkView & Oracle systems for the AP teams.
• Maintains files and related record retention used for auditing purposes.
• Scan non AP documents such as timesheets, adjustments. and AR receipts for supporting departments.
• Assist with Escheatment invoice research (invoice researching via Oracle for outstanding checks)

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
• Education: High School Diploma/GED
• Required Experience: 1+ years of experience related to invoice processing and/or data entry
• Ability to sort invoices according to specific projects/company codes
• Strong attention to detail
• Required Skills: Ability to use Microsoft suite of tools (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• Good oral and written communication skills; tactful diplomacy
• Location: Hybrid

Salary and Benefit Information
The likely hourly rate for this position is between $18.22 - $23.23. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
