Senior Sales Strategy-Wine - First Citizens Bank - Napa, CA


Overview:

This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office.

This position is responsible for helping to create new and strengthening existing bank wide relationships (internal and external), primarily using vintner client wine as the focus and means to do so. It involves proactively and reactively working with colleagues, our vintner's, and other bank cohort clients to create added value for each.

Responsibilities:
  • Vinter Relationships - Work with Wine Division banking teams to understand their portfolio and identify opportunities to strengthen our bond with each vintner client. Work with the Wine Programming team to strategize and organize events that drive buyer exposure and revenue opportunities to our vintner clients
  • Intel & Analytics - Support the Wine Programming team in all efforts to gather and formalize revenue driven statistics to our vintner's that our banking teams can use during their own vintner communications. Develop scalable solution to insure consistent, clean, timely, and relevant information from various events is communicated to the relationship teams.
  • ROI & Engagement - Support Wine Division through insuring optimized client / prospect attendance at various events with focus on ROI and engagement. Travel to locations as host or co-host events where wine is used as part of the SVB & First Citizens story in front of other bank cohort clients. Host or co-host virtual tastings for other bank cohort clients. Educate colleagues on the power of wine as a relationship builder and how to leverage it effectively.
  • Business Support - Support the Wine Programming team in all efforts to enhance and continually update the Wine Resource Center, whose current platform is in the SVB internal website, The Source.
Qualifications:
    Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Wine Industry, either in production, winery sales, trade distribution, retail, or any combination of those OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Wine Industry, either in production, winery sales, trade distribution, retail, or any combination of those
    Skill(s): Ability to command a crowded room with knowledge or by sheer personality, Ability to create commonalities between constituents thereby creating engagement, trust, confidence, Talented creative writer , Storyteller

If hired in CA, the base pay for this position is generally between $146,000 and $175,000. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
