Powertrain Controls Integration Engineer (3 heads)

Job Title: Powertrain Controls Integration Engineer

Objective: Lead/Support Integration and testing for Electrified Powertrain xEV programs and HFL DV testing for electrified vehicles programs.

Skill Set Required: Some experience in electrified powertrain applications and testing.

Tasks:

  • Drive commonality across platforms and applications for electrified vehicles
  • Maintain requirement status for program signoff in eFDVS/FEDE
  • Represent the Controls department at program and launch meetings
  • Communicate program information and timing to controls teams
  • Support studies (timing and vehicle) for existing and new programs
  • Develop and Maintain Vehicle and Breadboard Test Plans for each application
  • Develop and Deliver presentations for Electrified Controls
  • Track and report progress to plan

Lead:

  • Lead assessments and preparation for Engineering milestone reviews
  • Lead work streams to deliver target savings
  • Lead trouble shooting efforts for vehicle controls issues and bring in supporting teams as needed
  • Lead interface with program PMTs for each xEV applications
  • Attend PMT meetings to capture and communicate timing and other program changes to the team
  • Track integration deliverables to support program implementation reviews (PIR)
  • Update GPDS deliverables status for each program in integrator
  • Lead issue resolution for root cause (5D), permanent corrective action, and prevent recurrence for brake controls and powertrain xEV controls related concerns
  • Lead the commission process on the first set of vehicles, Breadboards (ICE, HV and LV xEV) and Dynos in the prototype phase. Verify software and calibration level and functionality
  • Help / Train employees for hybrid vehicle development and testing:
  • Flashing PT modules
  • Reading codes
  • Programming Motor Offsets
  • Collecting and reviewing data
  • Troubleshooting/debugging vehicles
  • Utilizing the following tools for vehicle development and testing:
  • ATI
  • PT Diagnostics – MyCanics
  • CANAlyzer/CANape
  • DET – Diagnostic Engineering Tool
  • VDR - flight recorders

Work Location: Dearborn, Michigan, USA

Work Pattren: Hybrid ( 2-3 days)
