InSite Coordinator - Clean Harbors - Tofield, AB


Clean Harbors in Fort Saskatchewan AB is currently looking for an InSite Coordinator to join the team. This position is responsible for the cost-effective coordination and direction of in- plant personnel and onsite staged equipment to complete assigned in-plant service projects.

  • Ensure that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times.
  • Assign staged equipment to be utilized in the most cost-effective manner.
  • Ensure in-plant staged equipment is properly permitted and maintained for operation.
  • Work closely with shift Supervisor to direct in-plant personnel in the operational procedures to complete assignments and understand the manpower and equipment requirements to complete in-plant service projects.
  • Maintain a proper inventory of equipment and supplies for current workloads.
  • Acquire additional appropriate ad hoc equipment from local service center to support additional priority service requests.
  • Ensure proper communication to the supervisor to confirm that contractual obligations are met to complete requested services, project progression status and change orders are completed and executed, prior to any additional work being performed; Ensure the customer acknowledges change order(s).
  • Additional duties and project tasks as assigned. 
  • Post-secondary education in chemistry or environmental science is preferred. 
  • Experience in waste management is preferred.
  • 1-3 years of project management experience.
  • Experience working in a refinery or industrial environment is preferred. 
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a team and safety focused environment.
