Summary:

Position will work with Benefits Manager & compensation in developing and maintaining a Total Rewards program. This position is responsible for New Employee Orientation benefits materials. This position contributes to the effective coordination of employee & physician benefits programs through positive Communication and maintenance of records for new, current and terminated employees & physicians. Position will establish and maintain computerized and manual records necessary for benefit administration. Will establish ongoing benefit communication processes to new & existing Employees / physicians through presentations & written publications. This position will research and understand the rules/regulations, of ERISA, COBRA , PPA and the IRS to make sure the health system is in compliance. Will perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as liaison between CHRISTUS Associates, regional HR/payroll departments and third party administrator
  • Serves as primary contact for third party administrator and coordinates short term disability advice to pay reporting with regions
  • Provides necessary information to third party administrator regarding payroll, work schedule and other relevant Associate information necessary for processing FMLA and disability requests
  • Assists management with leave of absence situations and provides guidance within the policy and established legal guidelines
  • Consults/confers with regional Business Partners, managers, and administrator regarding STD, LTD, WC, FMLA, ADA, Military, and paid and unpaid Leaves of Absence
  • Coordinates administrator and managers with leave of absence requests and guides them through the process

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree
