What you’ll do:

  • Establish and operationalize ADP Canada Knowledge Management strategic plan.
  • Oversee and govern KM Canada content taxonomy and metadata schema construction, incorporation into content management system(s), application to KM content, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Act as lead editor/structural reviewer for Canada KM content, applying structured authoring and minimalist writing principles and ensuring DITA/XML elements are effectively utilized in the creation of new and refactoring of existing KM content.
  • Collaborate with other ADP Canada content producers to ensure ADP Canada associates receive the right knowledge at the right time.
  • Assess KM requirements for new ADP projects/product releases.
  • Act as lead KM consultant on complex KM projects.
  • Perform all management duties for KM team members.
  • Delegate project activities to appropriate KM team member(s).
  • Foster positive working relationships with global content management teams, leaders, and decision makers to ensure KM Canada initiatives align with corporate vision.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE: Requirements

  • Highly knowledgeable of, and practical experience in, knowledge/information management: codification, classification, content lifecycle management, database design and principles, information architecture, basic programming principles, workflow modeling, authoring, and e-publishing.
  • Proven ability to prioritize projects based on business needs and to lead projects.
  • Proven ability to facilitate discussions and activities necessary to define and capture complex processes/procedures.
  • Superior relationship building and collaboration skills.
  • Technical proficiency with MS Office tools (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Superior verbal and written communication & presentation skills.
  • Working understanding of DITA/XML and relevant tools (IXIASoft, Oxygen XML editor).
  • Detailed understanding of, and proven ability to apply, structured authoring and minimalist writing principles.

Education:

Required

  • University or college undergraduate degree.

Preferred

  • Master of Information Management; Master of Library and Information Studies

Bonus points for these:

  • Experience implementing new software/tools.
  • Knowledge of ADP Business tools: Workforce Now, Siebel, LUMIN, ADPworks, SharePoint.
  • Bilingual (French and English) is considered an asset.
